Chaintech 7VJDA VIA KT266A Motherboard

Abit BD7 Raid I845 DDR Motherboard Review

Asus P4B266 Motherboard + P4 2.2Ghz Northwood Review
When Intel released the Pentium 4 processor to their line of cpu's it did not live up to it's expectations. The performance was lacking due to the poor quality of Pentium 4 based motherboards that needed to support expensive RDRam and special power supply connectors in order to run a Pentium 4 cpu. Motherboard manufacturers had released motherboards that were not very stable and lacked performance therefore making the Pentium 4 a very unlikely upgrade.

Abit recently announced the KR7A-133. The KR7A-133 is an updated version of Abit's popular KR7A, a premier KT266A motherboard. The KR7A-133 features the same KT266A Northbridge as the KR7A, but has an updated Southbridge, the VT8233A, which has native ATA/133 support. The KR7A uses the VT8233 Southbridge, which only supports up to ATA/100 speeds.

Tyan's Tiger MPX motherboard

AMD Thoroughbred i do starších desek
Narozdíl od přechodu z Coppermine na Tualatin jádra u Pentia III a Celeronů, kdy bylo nutné vyměnit i základní desky, bude nový Athlon XP s Thoroughbred jádrem pasovat i do starších základních desek, určených původně pro Palomino. Stačí nahrát nový BIOS a bude hotovo. A díky ECS navíc víme, že AMD hodlá uvést Athlony s tímto 0,13 mikronovým jádrem hnedle na třech frekvencích označené jako: XP1800, XP2100 a XP2200. ECS totiž 27. února vydalo nový BIOS pro desku K7S5A označený jako verze 02/02/06, kde se právě o přidání podpory pro tyto nové Athlony píše.
